Catharine Rykowski, PT, DPT
Pediatric Physical Therapist
Catharine Rykowski is a Martha’s Vineyard based Pediatric Physical Therapist with over 10 years of clinical experience. Catharine graduated from The George Washington University in 2011 with a doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has vast clinical experience treating children birth to 21 years of age in a variety of pediatric settings, including but not limited to Early Intervention, school based PT, pediatric home health, outpatient clinic, hospital based pediatric long term care services, hospital based NICU services, as well as provided private therapy services as an independent contractor. Most recently Catharine worked at a premiere sensory gym in Manhattan where she honed her skills in treating children with spectrum disorders. Additionally Catharine has experience utilising both aquatic as well as Hippotherapy techniques in her treatment approach. Catharine uses a multifaceted approach to treatment. She has experience and training in NDT handling techniques, Sensory Integration, and DIR Floortime. Catharine takes a patient centred, collaborative, team based, functional approach to therapy with an emphasises on building rapport and trust between clinician, clients, and their families.
When not treating, Catharine is a mother to 3 active boys. She is a former collegiate athlete who enjoys trail running, swimming, and hitting the mountains or beach with her mini groms. Catharine graduated from The College of William and Mary with a BA in both psychology and Studio Art with a concentration in print making. She continues to enjoy the process of creating, and when not chasing littles she can be found making a mess in her studio.
